Overview
French clients don't come to us for volume commodity work. They come to us for the second and third styles in their range — the ones that would tie up their Paris atelier for months but need to reach retail at a viable price. We answer with hand-stitching, edge painting and tranchefile detailing done to French finish standards.
Edge painting in five thin coats with sanding between each, not three thick coats. Saddle-stitching by hand at 3.5mm spacing on visible seams. Skiving to 0.6mm for folded edges. Zamak hardware plated in a small factory outside Chittagong that supplies two of the mid-tier French houses through their intermediaries. This is the finish language French buyers use in tech packs — we speak it back.
Usually a WhatsApp from a Paris-based designer with photos of an inspiration piece and a technical drawing. We answer in French if you write in French. First sample in twelve to sixteen days, sent to a Paris address via DHL. Feedback comes back annotated on the photo. Second sample lands seven to ten days after that. Once the sample is approved, bulk production runs on our thirty-five to forty-five day cycle and ships to Le Havre or Marseille.
Le Havre is faster to Paris and northern France; Marseille is faster to Lyon and the south. Marseille also has fewer strikes historically. We route based on your destination warehouse. Both ports clear customs cleanly for leather goods classified under HTS 4202. Our French forwarder handles the TVA à l'importation and can operate on autoliquidation so the twenty percent import VAT never leaves your bank account — it goes onto the CA3 declaration.
We don't stamp Made in France or Made in Italy on anything. We don't accept orders where the client wants to claim origin they don't have. Our label reads Made in Bangladesh, and honest French brands have found their customers care more about the quality of the piece than the country stamped on it — especially when the price honestly reflects the origin.

Faites-vous de la couture sellier à la main ?
Oui. Nos artisans seniors maîtrisent le point sellier main à 3,5mm d'espacement, la teinture de tranche multi-couches et le rabat au fer. Les tarifs sont plus élevés qu'en couture machine mais restent bien en dessous d'un atelier parisien.
Do you ship to a Paris 3PL directly?
Yes. Sea freight to Le Havre plus truck to Paris warehouses runs about thirty-two to thirty-four days total. We work with two French forwarders who can drop pallets at any Île-de-France 3PL or directly at a boutique's storeroom.
Can you match a sample from a French atelier?
Usually yes, if we can inspect the sample first. Send it to Chittagong (we cover DHL back-and-forth on serious enquiries) and we'll build a matched sample within fourteen days.
